Hi Michael,
Thanks for the great videos.
I like the fact that your not just talking fluff.
You are offering really strong insites into the use of colors and graphics that will help a lot of newbies and experienced marketers.
I especially like your review on what makes the banners work and what makes them work even better.
I also want to agree that banner advertising isn’t dead.
Once again… Great Job!

amazing information…it puts a lot of IM people like me in the old catch 22…
you can’t afford to advertise…can’t afford not to advertise…
At some point you must make a corporate decision…and a leap of faith.

Ah yes, the popular myth that banner ads are dead.
Just about every company who carries a brand name uses banners as part of their IM campaign..
I don’t know how anyone came to that conclusion, or how it got started. Even with non-branded, smaller companies, there are an abundence of well targeted banners on niche specfic websites.
Moving right along…
The videos were excellent and it is probably the best free material on banners that I have seen, well, in a while.
I have viewed simliar information on banner advertising, and was still somewhat confused with what ad servers do exactly and how to create effective ads, etc.
You broke it down so even a person like myself with limited frontal lobe activity could understand it! (LoL)..
And, you were honest about the expense which is another plus, because it does require some cash to get started..
Some of the banner ad “example” campaigns I have seen involved half a million dollars or better. That is what turned me off to pursuing banners. 5000 is still out of reach, but more down to earth..
And speaking of down to earth costs..
I have a few questions about a particular network, and a low cost offer they are promoting..
1) Have you ever used Addynamix.com and their “self-serve”? http://www.addynamix.com/selfserve/
They have banner ad impressions packages from 99.00 to 999.00 and above. I know that it depends on the market you choose and the advertising you produce..
But, in general, for those of us who have limited resources - might want to promote an affiliate offer, or promote our own products - are they a good ad network?
The 99.00 dollar package gives you 49,000 banners, or 16,000 pop-ups, 39,600 leaderboards, etc..
Do you think that the amount of advertising for the money, will be enough to get things started? Or, do you need millions of impressions to really start seeing results?
I am well aware that, as per your video, you have to employ the “Daily Cap”, split testing, tracking, ad creation, etc.
I am just wondering in - general - if Addynamix could be a good place to start for the fiscally minded?
Regards, and many thanks for the videos, and the introduction to the “Big Internet”
